Galaxy clusters, as the largest structures in the universe, are useful tools that can help differentiating a variety of models for the universe.
In this talk, I will introduce the role that galaxy clusters play within the large scale structure and show results on cluster detection with the Bayesian Cluster Finder (BCF) in very different surveys. I will then present recent results on cluster selection functions and scaling relations for different next-generation surveys: Euclid, LSST and J-PAS based on well-behaved realistic mock catalogues.
I will conclude by showing some preliminary results on cosmological constraints obtained from these analysis.
